Getting started

What exactly is Trickly?

Trickly teaches shortcuts — fast, memorable methods for Maths, Algebra and General Knowledge from pre-KG to Class 12. There are 63 of them, each with a worked example, a way to remember it, and what to write in the exam. It also has a homework helper that explains any question you photograph or say out loud, in nine Indian languages.

Do I need an account?

No. You can browse every shortcut, practise, and ask your first questions without signing up. An account is only needed to save progress across devices and to link a parent to a child.

Which classes is it for?

Pre-KG through Class 12. Each shortcut is tagged with the grade bands it suits, and you can filter by grade on any subject page.

Which boards does it follow?

The methods work for CBSE, ICSE and all state boards, because a shortcut is a shortcut whatever the syllabus. Exam tips follow Indian marking conventions.

Languages

Which languages does Trickly speak?

Nine: English, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali, Marathi and Gujarati. The menus, buttons and homework explanations are all available in each of them.

Can I speak instead of typing?

Yes. Press the microphone on the Ask Trickly page and say the question in your own language. On most phones this happens on the device itself, so your voice never leaves it.

Can it read the answer out loud?

Yes — there is a read-aloud button on every answer, useful if reading is difficult or your hands are busy.

For parents

I didn't study much. Can I still help my child?

That is exactly who this is for. Switch to parent mode and Trickly writes out the actual sentences to say to your child, in the simplest words, in your language. You do not need to understand the maths yourself.

Can I see what my child is doing?

Yes. A parent account linked to your child's shows which subjects they studied, for how long, what they completed, and one suggestion for the week ahead.

Will my child spend too long on a screen?

Trickly interrupts after thirty minutes of study and suggests a real game to go and play, with the rules and why it helps. We are actively trying to reduce screen time, not increase it.

Safety and privacy

Do you show ads to children?

Never — on any plan, paid or free. We carry no third-party advertising and no ad-tracking pixels anywhere on the service.

What happens to homework photos?

They are used to answer that one question and deleted within 24 hours. They are never used to train artificial-intelligence models.

Do you sell personal data?

No. Not to anyone, ever. We collect the minimum we need and you can ask us to delete all of it at any time.

Is my child's account protected?

Accounts for under-18s must be created or approved by a parent, as India's DPDP Act requires. Sessions use secure, http-only cookies, and the database enforces that an account can only ever read its own records.

Plans and payment

What does it cost?

The free plan is free forever. Trickly Plus is ₹199 a month for unlimited homework questions in all nine languages, unlimited practice, parent progress reports, badges and challenges.

How do I cancel?

In two taps from your profile, or by emailing us. You keep access until the end of the month you have paid for, and there is no cancellation fee.

Can I get a refund?

A full refund within 7 days of your first payment, for any reason, no explanation needed. See the Refund and Cancellation Policy for the detail.

What if I genuinely cannot afford it?

Write to us. Cost should never be why a child cannot learn, and we will sort something out — no forms, no proof required.

The homework helper

Is the answer always right?

Almost always, but not guaranteed. It is a study aid, and answers should be checked against your child's textbook and teacher. We show the method as well as the answer so a mistake is easy to spot.

What if the photo is blurry?

Trickly will tell you it cannot read it and ask for another photo in better light, rather than guessing.

Can it do subjects other than Maths and GK?

The homework helper handles most school subjects. The written shortcut library currently covers Maths, Algebra and GK — ask for more on the request board and we build by votes.

Still stuck?

Write to us in any language and a person will reply within two working days.
